Symptoms of spleen disease

In case of spleen disease, the first symptoms are almost absent, since there are no pain receptors in it. There are several diseases associated with the spleen:
• Spleen infarction. It is characterized by the death of a part of the tissue, as a result of inadequate blood supply.
Tuberculosis of the spleen appears, as a rule, after damage to nearby organs.
• I have tumors in the spleen, both benign (fibroma, lymphangioma, hemangioma) and malignant (lymphoma), but they are very rare.
• Injuries require surgical intervention in almost all cases, as they often lead to rupture of the spleen.
• Abscess of the spleen. This is an inflammatory formation, limited in size, in which pus accumulates.
• Echinococcus is a parasitic disease that is infected by contact with animals. This disease is detected by ultrasound.
• There are three types of cysts: true ones, which are the result of developmental disorders in the intrauterine period; false ones appear after typhus, malaria and injuries, parasitic ones are formed due to the development of a parasite (echinococcus) in the spleen.

The symptoms of spleen disease are very rarely manifested in the initial stages of the disease, therefore, when they are detected, the diseases are usually neglected. More often they occur already when the nearest organs or tissues are affected. But there are some symptoms of spleen disease, according to which, in the early stages, it is possible to identify pathological processes that occur in a latent form.:
• Sharp pain in the left hypochondrium, which increases with any movement. The pain can also radiate to the left forearm or just to the shoulder.
• With tumors, there is a dull pain and a feeling of heaviness in the area of the spleen.
• In case of a heart attack, pain occurs when palpating a certain point, if it is not a massive heart attack, then there are practically no symptoms.
• An increase in the size of the spleen can be detected by palpation. It is more common in tumors and cysts.
• Tuberculosis. The following symptoms are noted: fever, weakness, weight loss, chills, and if the lungs are also affected, then difficulty breathing.
• Pain in the upper abdomen and chest on the left, abdominal tension. These symptoms are typical for spleen abscess.
• Nausea.
• Vomiting.
• Tachycardia (rapid heartbeat).
• Discomfort on the left side of the abdomen and upper quadrant.
